State Snowplow Money Nearly Gone

The state's snow and ice removal budget is nearly depleted only half-way through January. The Mass DOT started the season with a 43-million-dollar snow budget, but there's only about four-million left. The agency will probably have to seek special funding from the legislature in June. That means contracted snow plow drivers won't get paid for their work until the summer.
