Students and faculty at the UMass Dartmouth College of Visual and Performing Arts have been hard at work over the past few months on the "Star Window Series" in the former Star Store building in Downtown New Bedford.

A series of performances and exhibits have been held every Thursday night in the windows facing Purchase and Union Streets. Despite the cold weather, those performances have attracted small, but enthusiastic crowds of people. The series featured live musical performances, art displays, and spoken word performances.

The grand finale of the Star Window Series is scheduled for April 29 at 6 p.m., and the Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts, Lawrence Jenkins is promising quite a show.
