Stabbing On Mott Street In New Bedford

A 30-year-old New Bedford man is hospitalized following a stabbing incident on Mott Street.

New Bedford police responded to a report of a man having been stabbed on Mott Street just before 7 a.m. on Monday.

When officers arrived on the scene the found an unidentified 30-year-old man with a single stab wound to the back.

The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment and police tell WBSM he was alert and speaking to officers at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
