SouthCoast’s First Winter Weather Advisory
NEW BEDFORD — There is a winter weather advisory in effect for Southeastern Massachusetts beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday through early Friday morning.
ABC6 meteorologist Chelsea Priest says the snow will move in by early evening and will continue for a short time on the SouthCoast. However, as you move farther inland, the snow will continue for a longer period of time before changing to rain. Chelsea says the rain will end by midday tomorrow, but we will see gusty winds,
The MASS DOT has also issued a winter travel advisory for the Commonwealth. They urge drivers to use caution and lower speeds if traveling Thursday evening, and to plan for a possible slower commute on Friday morning.
