Can you imagine a local middle school child whose solution to the current problem they have is to end their life?

In the past four years, five New Bedford kids chose this solution. The first step to addressing this problem is to shed light on the issue and raise awareness, even though it is a painful subject that nobody wants to discuss. Rev. David Lima, Executive Minister of the Inter-Church Council of Greater New Bedford talked about bringing together about 30 different groups to form The Greater New Bedford Suicide Prevention Coalition.

Nathan Araujo, President of the Samaritan's of Fall River and New Bedford, also detailed the upcoming walk, A Day In My Shoes, October 5, from the new Child & Family location previously Accu Billiards at 3057 Acushnet Ave. New Bedford to Fort Taber. North End to South End.
