South End Shooting Under Investigation by New Bedford Police

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are actively investigating a shooting in the city’s south end Monday night.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., New Bedford Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Ruth Street. Police say man in his twenties received at least one gunshot wound during the incident and was transported to an area hospital.

No other information is being released by New Bedford Police at this time. The shooting remains under investigation.
