Single Shot Fired in New Bedford

Scanner reports indicate that one round was fired in the area of 144 Coffin Avenue in New Bedford Wednesday night.

The initial call came in around 7:38 p.m. that the city's Shotspotter detection system had detected one round fired.

A few moments later, a scanner call confirmed that a shell casing was found in the street.
