Shots Fired on Acushnet Ave in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD - Police are investigating reports of shots fired in New Bedford's north end early Thursday morning.

Police received initial reports of gunshots at 2:24 a.m. Thursday in the 1800-block of Acushnet Avenue.

No injuries were reported.

Police are also investigating whether this incident is connected to reports of a vehicle striking a building in the area.

New Bedford Police say the investigation is very active and are not releasing any further information at this time.
