Shoplifting Suspects Arrested in New Bedford
NEW BEDFORD - Two New Bedford residents are arrested in separate shoplifting incidents.
Police responded to Market Basket at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday for a report of shoplifting, and arrested Trevor Silva, 27, a homeless man with a last known address in New Bedford. Silva is charged with shoplifting by asportation.
Several hours later, at around 8:25 p.m., police were called to Price Rite on South Street off of Route 18 for a report of shoplifting. After an initial investigation, police arrested Brittney Anne Cravo, 27, of 99 South Street, New Bedford. Cravo is charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise, second offense, and providing police with a false name or Social Security number. Cravo also had an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
