The Southeast Regional Transit Authority will soon be extending its hours of operation, and its not waiting for state funding to do it.

SERTA Administrator Erik Rousseau tells WBSM News, bus service will be extended weekdays on nine routes, starting on April 22nd.

Rousseau says SERTA will delay some capital spending, including buying new busses, so the seervice hours can be extended.  The new schedule will run thru June 30, 2014.
