I love it when work means enjoying fun family events with my kids and that's exactly what this weekend is bringing with the Holly Jolly Fest in New Bedford.

Once again The Kilburn Mill and Tufts Health are filling the third floor at the mill with festive family fun and it is free for the public to enjoy from noon to 3 p.m.

It's a great way to get in some holiday shopping while also having holiday fun.

So, What Is The Holly Jolly Fest?

It's a free three-hour event with face painting, arts and crafts, cocoa and cookies courtesy of DND Catering, dance performances, a photo booth and an indoor "snowball" fight.

That last one sounds super fun to me.

As if all that wasn't enough, Santa is going to be in the building and taking photos with families for free. Santa arrives at 12:30 and will stay to take pictures through the end of the event.

Plus, during the event or afterward, you can wander through the rest of The Kilburn Mill to see what the retailers have to help with your shopping list. There are over 100 businesses now filling the bottom two floors of the mill, offering a wide variety of handmade and one-of-a-kind goods.

All-in-all, it's worth the visit this weekend for shopping and playing at the 3rd Annual Holly Jolly Fest.
