Search Warrant Leads to Arrest of New Bedford Man

NEW BEDFORD — One man is arrested following a search of his home by police.

New Bedford Police Department Narcotic Detectives carried out a search warrant at 259 North Front Street, Apartment 3, at around 7:21 p.m. on Thursday. In the home, police found and seized 16 grams of suspected cocaine and $400 in cash.

Police arrested the occupant of the home, Christopher Grant, 29. Grant is charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug (crack cocaine), and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, subsequent offense.
