UPDATE (6:28 A.M.) — Taunton Police report that Zachary Halloran has been located.

A press release issued at 1:05 a.m. on Thursday reported Halloran was missing and "believed to be in danger." Taunton Police activated the SouthEastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) Search and Rescue Unit to assist in the search.

Taunton Police reported on their Facebook page at 1:57 a.m. that Halloran had been located.

TAUNTON — Multiple agencies have joined in a search for a missing Taunton teenager who is believed to be in danger.

Taunton Police Chief Ed Walsh says his department has activated the SouthEastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) Search and Rescue Unit to assist in the search for Zachary Halloran, 14, of Taunton.

Halloran was last seen leaving the Rowley Avenue area on foot and may be carrying a backpack. He's described as 5'4" tall, weighing 115 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be wearing a dark colored shirt and/or jacket, as well as dark sweatpants.

The SEMLEC Search and Rescue Unit, along with first responders from around the region, is searching for Halloran, who police say is "believed to be in danger."
