3 Things We Learned About New Bedford’s Samantha Irvin on WWE

To New Bedford, she’s Samantha Johnson, but to the rest of the world, she’s Samantha Irvin, and she is living out her dreams as an announcer for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

On Thursday, she went live on the WWE Youtube Page and invited fans to “get ready” with her for an event.

She’s come a long way since her appearances on America’s Got Talent and I Can See Your Voice, and here’s a few things we learned about this SouthCoast star in her latest video.

She Met Her Fiance on Twitter

Trevor Dean Mann, better known as Ricochet, is one of WWE’s superstars, and he seemed to have a soft spot for Irvin even before she was a part of the organization.

“I followed him (on Twitter) as I was getting into the current happenings of the company, and he followed me right back,” she said. “Then he went and found me on Instagram and followed me there.”

While Ricochet was throwing out hints, it was Irvin to make the first move.

“I slid into his DM’s…and we just haven’t stopped talking since,” she shared.

After a romantic first date at the Grand Canyon, sparks flew and they haven’t looked back.

She’s a Big Lover of Self-Care

“I love candles, I love face masks, eye masks, all of that,” she said as she talked about the importance of self-care, and how she loves to "be girly" with her daughter.

She’s a star on television, but she’s just like the rest of us.

She Likes to Speak in a British Accent

When a fan asked about her ritual before a live event, she chuckled and admitted, “I like to speak in a British accent before live events with Mike Rome.”

It may sound odd, but avid followers of Irvin are familiar with her silly routine as she frequently shares it to her socials.
