Route 195 Repairs Continue This Weekend

The accelerated replacement of the River Avenue Bridge on Interstate 195 in Fairhaven continues this weekend, with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation announcing that

Starting Friday night at 9, traffic will be restricted to one lane eastbound on I-195 and shifted to the median to begin the demolition and reconstruction of the eastbound bridge.

The on-ramps from Route 18 North to I-195 east and Washburn Street to I-195 east will be closed and that traffic detoured via Coggeshall Street, Howland Road, Alden Road, Bridge Street and Route 240. At 6 a.m. Monday, traffic will be restored to two lanes eastbound in time for the morning commute.
