Rochester Crash Sees Driver Medflighted to Hospital
ROCHESTER — A person has been taken to the hospital by medflight after a Sunday evening crash in Rochester that left them in critical condition.
The Rochester Fire Department wrote in a social media post on Monday night that emergency crews were called to a single-vehicle crash on Braley Hill Road at around 7:35 p.m. Sunday.
Callers reported the driver, who was the sole occupant, was trapped in the vehicle.
Fire crews found the person unresponsive and spent 15 minutes extricating them with the Jaws of Life and other tools before a medflight helicopter landed at the nearby Ashley Brook cul-de-sac.
The driver was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition.
Details on the person's identity, residence, or current condition have yet to be released.
Rochester police are investigating the cause of the crash.
