Robber Hits Convenience Store in New Bedford’s North End

Police are investigating a robbery in New Bedford's North End.

Police say the robbery took place Monday afternoon at the Sunoco gas station across from Trucchi's on Acushnet Avenue.

The clerk told police that a man came into the store and demanded money while keeping his hands in his sweatshirt, gesturing as if he had a weapon. The clerk did not see a weapon, but complied with the man's request, turning over an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a 20 to 30 year old male, about 5'10" with medium tone skin, with a thin mustache and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and tan pants.
