
Rhode Island-Filmed Movie “The Roaring Game” Set for Perfect Winter 2026 Release
A new film, shot in Rhode Island, will soon be released and the timing is pretty perfect.
The Roaring Game, which filmed in Cranston, premiered at the Rhode Island International Film Festival on August 9, 2025.

The film will reach the masses, releasing worldwide on February 6, 2026. Pretty perfect timing if you ask me.
Perfect Timing
The Roaring Game goes global as the XXV Winter Olympic Games begin. Opening Ceremonies for Milano Cortina 2026 take place Friday, February 6.
Additionally, Super Bowl LX kicks off on Sunday, February 8 in Santa Clara, California.

Between Olympic games, a football game and The Roaring Game, it's going to a big weekend for sports.
The Plot
Written and directed by Rhode Island filmmaker, Tom DeNucci, and produced by Verdi Productions, The Roaring Game tells the story of a misfit group of people trying to learn the sport of curling in hopes of making it to the World Games.

Leading the pack? A heartbroken janitor whose girlfriend has been selected for the Team USA hockey team, causing them to break up.
He'll stop at nothing to win her back and his genius plan is to use his janitorial skills to win gold...in curling, but not without some help.
The ragtag group is made up of a star-studded cast including Mickey Rourke, Darin Brooks, Rob Gronkowski and more.
