A Rhode Island man with a history of breaking and entering has been sentenced for his most recent house break in Seekonk.

According to Assistant District Attorney Brian Griffin, 26-year-old Miguel Cuevas was sentenced in Fall River Superior Court for his role in a June house break in Seekonk.

Cuevas reportedly entered an "agreed plea" to charges of breaking and entering during the daytime, malicious destruction of property and receiving stolen property.

Cuevas and others reportedly broke into the Seekonk home of a retired school teacher while she was inside the residence. She called 9-1-1 and the suspects all fled when the realized police were on their way.

After a short, high-speed chase that ended with a crash, the four suspects were arrested.

Cuevas has a prior breaking and entering record in Rhode Island.
