Repairs At Octopus Intersection Downtown

There were some backups at the octopus intersection in Downtown New Bedford Friday morning after a traffic light was knocked over.

Detective Captain Steven Vicente says at around 8 a.m. they received a report that a utility truck struck a traffic light pole at the intersection of Kempton and Pleasant Streets,  knocking it over.

Lane restrictions were in effect for a few hours while repairs were being made. No injuries were reported.
