Reckless Driving Leads to Discovery of Stolen Dirt Bike
NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police recover a stolen dirt bike after a pair of men were seen driving it recklessly throughout the city.
Police saw the blue Yamaha dirt bike travelling at a high rate of speed at Arnold and Chancery Streets early Monday afternoon and were able to catch up with the riders.
During the investigation, police discovered the bike had been stolen out of Dartmouth.
Police arrested the two men, 22-year-old Juan Jose Ramos and 21-year-old Jeven Johnson, both of New Bedford.
Ramos faces charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, improperly attached plates, using a recreational vehicle on a public way, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property over $250.
Johnson was charged with receiving stolen property over $250, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and using a recreational vehicle on a public way.
