Purple-Gloved Suspect Robs South End Family Dollar
NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are searching for the suspect in a reported armed robbery in the South End Thursday night.
New Bedford Police say the robbery was reported just after 10 p.m. at the Family Dollar on West Rodney French Boulevard.
According to witnesses, the man threatened the clerk with a knife and fled with an undetermined amount of cash. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a six-foot-tall male wearing black clothing, purple gloves, a camouflage hat. He was also carrying a black bag.
