Fishermen pulled what is believed to possibly be a human body early Thursday morning from the waters off Provincetown.

Massachusetts State Police tell the Cape Cod Times workers on the fishing boat "Hera", which is based out of New Bedford, reported that they had pulled up what they believed was a human body around 4:35 a.m.

State Police spokesman David Procopio says it is not confirmed that what fishermen pulled up is in fact a body.

The "Hera" went back to Provincetown Harbor where a state police detective from the Cape and Island District Attorney's office went to meet th boat at the town pier.

No further information has been released from the District Attorney's office.
