Police Witness Possible Drug Deal, Arrest New Bedford Man

NEW BEDFORD - A city man is arrested on a drug charge.

New Bedford Police arrested Tyson Lamonte Jorge, 31, after they say undercover officers in an unmarked police vehicle witnessed Jorge engage in a drug transaction in the area of 104 Tallman Street at around 1:53 p.m. on Tuesday.

As police questioned Jorge, they found 12.9 grams of crack cocaine in his possession.

Jorge is charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.
