Police Search for Suspect in New Bedford Armed Robbery

NEW BEDFORD--New Bedford Police are searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of a West End convenience store Tuesday night. Police say a male possibly armed with a knife robbed Perry's Variety at 274 Cedar Street just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

A small amount of cash was taken. There were no injuries.

Police are holding off on any additional details, calling it a "very active investigation."
