Police Say National Night Out Sends Right Message

Several hundred people turned out Tuesday night to celebrate National Night Out in New Bedford.

Residents crowded into Riverside Park to check out a State Police helicopter, enjoy free pizza and entertainment, and get a look at the city's new police cruisers.

Police Lt. Rick Rezendes tells WBSM News, the event makes a statement....

This year's event was organized by the Police Department and Neighborhoods United, the umbrella organization for neighborhood groups throughout the city.
