Police in the Worcester area town of Leicester are on the lookout for a woman who allegedly sprayed Lysol into the eyes of a Walmart cashier after being told there was a purchase limit on the popular disinfectant.

Police say it happened on March 27 at a Walmart Supercenter after a cashier told a female customer there was a limit on the number of cans she was trying to buy. The woman then allegedly sprayed the cashier in the eyes with one of the cans of Lysol, requiring a response from EMS.

"She then completed her purchase and left in what is believed to have been an Uber," the Leicester Police Department said in a statement.

The department released an image of the suspect and urged anyone with information to call Leicester Police Officer Matthew Soojian at (508) 892-7010 ext. 2066 or email soojianm@leicesterpd.com.

Many stores have placed purchase limits on certain items because some shoppers have been hording items such as toilet paper, Lysol spray, packets of frozen meat and more during the state's COVID-19 stay-at-home advisory.
