NEW BEDFORD — A New Bedford man is arrested after allegedly stealing credit cards and then using them to make purchases.

Police received a report of a car break-in in the 200-block of Nemasket Street. The victim reported multiple items stolen from the vehicle, including credit cards.

During the investigation, police learned that the cards had been used at two area businesses.

Police arrested Tyron Lawrence Trigueiro, 46, of 28 Tanglewood Drive, New Bedford, on charges of improperly receiving credit cards and using a forged credit card.

Trigueiro was arrested at 1:54 a.m. on Sunday.
