Police: Man Shot in New Bedford Wednesday Night

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police are investigating after a man was shot in the city's North End on Wednesday.

Police say ShotSpotter alerted officers to possible gunshots in the area of Belleville Avenue and Bullard Street at around 11:51 p.m. on Wednesday.

Responding officers found a male with gunshot wounds. The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is unknown.
