Police Investigate Armed Robbery in New Bedford’s West End

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police are investigating an armed robbery in the city's West End Saturday night.

Witnesses say just before 7 P.M. Saturday, a middle aged white male wearing a grey hoodi and black pants entered the Lucky 7 convenience store on Cottage Street. The man displayed a knife and asked for money. He was able to flee the store on foot with a small amount of cash.

Neither the 46-year-old female clerk nor the 19-year-old female clerk were harmed.
