Police Break Up Marijuana Distribution Operation in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police have busted up a marijuana distribution operation in the city.

Police say they executed a search warrant at a Tinkham Street apartment Wednesday afternoon and found 62 grams of marijuana, $34,496 in cash, a digital scale and packaging materials.

Police arrested two people living at the apartment. 20-year-old Oscar Moreno was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. 44-Year-old Maria Moreno was arrested on a warrant charge not related to the marijuana distribution investigation.
