Police Asking for Help Locating Fall River Purse Thief
FALL RIVER — Fall River Police are looking for the public's help in locating a robbery suspect.
On Monday, December 4 at approximately 3:30 p.m., Fall River Police responded to the Price Rite Supermarket located 866 Pleasant Street in regards to an unarmed robbery.
Upon arrival, a female victim reported that as she was putting her groceries in her vehicle, a male grabbed her purse out of the shopping carriage and ran towards 18th Street. The victim gave chase, but was unable to catch the culprit. The purse contained cash, identification cards, and a Metro PCS cell phone. The victim told officers that she observed the male watching her while she was shopping.
The suspect is described as an Hispanic male, about 5-9 to 6-0 in height, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and with a teardrop or star tattoo near his eye.
