Police Arrest Two Suspects In Armed Robbery Investigation

A New Bedford man and woman will be arraigned in District Court Monday on armed robbery charges.

According to Lt. Amos Melo, two people wearing masks and armed with a knife entered the Quicheleness Market at 357 North Front Street Friday night, demanding cash.

A witness said one of the suspects shoved him and another 16 year old during the robbery.

Police responded and spotted the suspects a short distance away. Arrested on armed robbery charges were 29 year old Christopher Admides of North Front Street  and 22 year old Natasha Irizarry of Earle Street.

Police also recovered the money taken in the robbery
