Plymouth’s Historic and Picturesque Camp Bournedale Hits the Market for $11.9 Million
Camp Bounredale in Plymouth has been around for decades and has just been put up for sale with a hefty price tag that might be worth every penny.
The camp has been around since 1929 and under its current family ownership since 1939. It's been the site of almost a century of lakeside fun and memories, and what's extra cool is that many of the structures there are original.
Owner and camp director Darin Farbizio is ready to retire and sincerely hopes that the property will continue as a camp for future generations of happy kids.
The 9.5-acre destination is listed with William Raveis for $11.9 million.
"This property sits on the absolutely stunning Great Herring Pond, which is super-clean and goes right out to the Cape Code Canal," listing agent John Volpe said.

The camp is still in action with events and weddings scheduled through the end of the year. Yes, this camp is the perfect place for a wedding. It comes complete with a 9,000-square-foot function facility and over 5,000 feet of lawn and waterfront access.
I'm picturing pulling up in a jetski for my vows. What an entrance.
This property is a piece of so many people's childhood memories that it's really priceless -- well, aside from that giant price tag.
Volpe said two serious prospects have visited several times so it's likely Bournedale will sell quickly. Let's hope the new owners will keep the camp tradition alive.
