A section of stone facade atop a triple decker in New Bedford’s North End came tumbling to the ground late Monday afternoon, but nobody was hurt.

The Fire Department had no immediate details on what caused the wall collapse which occurred at around 4:45 p.m. at 133 Deane St. High winds did whip through the region Monday with gusts of as high as 50 mph, according to weather reports.

Witnesses said a car parked on the street sustained minor damage, but there were no reports of injuries. Photographer Ed Pepin was on the scene and shared these images with WBSM.
