PharmaHealth’s Fairhaven Office And Pharmacy Announced That It Will Be Closing At The End Of December

PharmaHealth's Alden Road facility is set to close at the end of the year due to a note posted on the door of the building.

According to SouthCoastToday, a note on the door Tuesday read: “We regret to inform you that PharmaHealth Specialty will be closing on December 31, 2015.”

PharmaHealth’s corporate offices and long-term care pharmacy are located at 132 Alden Road facility.

This PharmaHealth closing comes one year after two PharmaHealth stores in New Bedford closed.

In February 2013, PharmaHealth was ordered by the state to completely or partially shut down their operations after following a state crackdown prompted by a deadly meningitis outbreak that began with New England Compounding Center in Framingham.

PharmaHealth opened in New Bedford as the Medicine Shoppe in 1977.
