FAIRHAVEN — A pedestrian who had been struck by a car in Fairhaven Wednesday morning has been flown to an area hospital.

According to reports, the individual was struck by a vehicle shortly after 9 a.m. in the area of Huttleston Avenue and Francis Street.

Fairhaven emergency responders called for a MedFlight, which landed on the football field of the nearby Fairhaven High School in order to transport the victim to a nearby hospital.

The victim's condition is not known at this time.
