People from all over New England are still riding that wave celebrating the Patriots Super Bowl LIII win on Sunday night.

The Dartmouth Mall wants to join the celebration by bringing eight tons of sand into the mall to be transformed into a work of art by local sand sculptor, Steve Topazio. This year, we have even more to celebrate with both the Boston Red Sox winning the World Series in October and the New England Patriot’s Super Bowl victory this past weekend.

Topazio, a professional sand sculptor who grew up on the beaches of Rhode Island, was recently featured on the Travel Channel’s “Sand Masters” and has been invited to compete in master sculpting competitions throughout North America. Dartmouth Mall expects that shoppers will be wowed once again by Topazio’s work when they visit.

“New England has had a fantastic year for sports! So, we want to celebrate with our community! Since everyone loved the sand sculpture in 2017, we are bringing it back and making it better by adding a tribute to the Red Sox World Series win too,” says mall marketing director Beth Zager. Come watch as Steve turns 8 tons of sand into magic. He will be here all week sculpting. The sculpture will be on display all month long. “I’m honored that Dartmouth mall asked me back again to create a sand sculpture to celebrate the New England Patriots & Boston Red Sox.” Says Topazio.
