New England Patriots Owner Calls Mamdani’s Election ‘Sad’
It seems like everyone else has weighed in on Zohran Mamdani's election as Mayor of New York City, so why not Robert Kraft, the founder, chairman and CEO of the Kraft Group and owner of the New England Patriots?
Twist his arm.
In an interview with Fox News and Outkick, Kraft called Mamdani's election on November 4 "sad."
"It's sad to me that a man can get elected in the city of New York, the No. 1 city in America, with a lot of beliefs, and when I heard him come out and speak after he won, I thought he was going to be more of a unifier," Kraft said. "I think he spoke out in a way that showed divisiveness."
National Public Radio (NPR) reported, "Zohan Mamdani will be the next Mayor of New York City, becoming the first Muslim and person of South Asian descent – as well as the youngest in over a century – to hold the position."
The 34-year-old Mamdani, a Democrat socialist born in Uganda, defeated former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa to win the election.

Kraft had a warning for Americans while discussing Mamdani's election with Fox and Outkick.
"I mean, he's tapped into something and touched something that people under 30 or 35 who haven't really experienced the world, but feel that America's not living up to certain values," he said. "We should pay attention to that."
Kraft said Mamdani's acceptance speech, "Really hurt me."
