Patriots Cut 5 Players

The New England Patriots, in an effort to get down to their initial 53-man roster, released five players from their roster Friday. 

The five players released include, wide receivers Devin Lucien and Paul Turner, running back Khalfani Muhammad, defensive lineman Frank Herron and cornerback Ryan Lewis.

The team will be making more cuts in the coming days, as they get their 53-man roster set for opening week, next weekend.
