Paper or Plastic For 10 Cents Per Bag [Video]
They're not good for the environment. Ducks die eating them. The incredible, uneatable plastic shopping bag is under the legislative microscope. There's a bill waiting for a positive vote that would make us pay 10 cents per bag, paper or plastic, at the supermarket. That is pay the store 10 cents unless we bring our own reusable bags. Guess that means I can bring the soon to be outlawed baggies. After July 31, 2018, stores would be forbidden to sell plastic bags, but still need to sell the paper bags at 10 cents each. This bill is so imperative it failed legislative approval twice before. Just how important is this bill/ban to me? I'm joining the Bag The Ban Campaign.
