Burning season is right now and many people in Massachusetts are taking advantage of it.  Many of us have discovered that the only thing to do with debris left from this winters storms is to pile it up in the back yard and burn it.

Yards across the Southcoast are full of broken branches and brush and as the weather warms up and the clean up continues.  For some to pay someone to come and clean up the mess and remove the debris is out of the question and burning is the only solution.  Before you burn you must check with your local fire department, some Southcoast towns do not allow any burning at all.

There are also many precautions you must take before you just light your yard debris on fire.  Here is a link to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection's web site with all of the answers you may have about open burning.
