One Arrested Following Drug Raid In New Bedford
One man has been placed under arrest following a Wednesday night drug raid in New Bedford.
Detective Captain Steven Vicente says that at approximately 10:30 p.m. a search warrant was executed at 42 Princeton St. apt.1 by members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau.
The raid was the result of an investigation into a cocaine delivery service being operated out of the home.
Investigators seized a .45 caliber Ruger semi-automatic handgun, loaded with 9 rounds of ammunition, $440 in cash, and approximately 28 grams of cocaine.
The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Ady Barbosa Alves of New Bedford, was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in New Bedford District Court.
