Of all the things we've seen inside Massachusetts mega-mansions, this Dover home's potato feature might just be the most unusual.

It is a 15,369-square-foot home at 18 Walpole St. that sold in May 2021, but it has such a unique backyard feature we are still talking about this place.

In addition to the personal fitness center, private elevator, enormous wine cellar and home theater, this Dover mansion includes a potato shed. Yes, you read that right -- a potato shed.

I think my confusion with this potato shed is that the real estate agents never even bring it up in the home's description.

I mean the folks with The Walsh Team & Partners and William Raveis R.E. & Home Services chose to share a picture of the shed chock-full of potatoes (which you can see when you scroll through the photos below), yet they don't talk about the potato shed when they mention the property's many features.

They describe the home theater and huge swimming pool without showing pictures of those, but then include the potato shed picture without any context as to why it is there.

I suppose the fact that this house comes with 12 acres of pastures and fields is reason enough to share a potato shed with potential buyers, but is it really? Don't we all kind of want to know why there are so many potatoes on this property?

Maybe it's just me.

I can show you some of the other amazing amenities this $13.2 million property has that make a lot more sense when it comes to Massachusetts' mega-mansions. Take a look.
