New Bedford Police are investigating an apparent shooting incident early Wednesday in the North End.

Public Information Officer Lt. Nathaniel Rodriguez told WBSM News that police were alerted to a ShotSpotter activation in the 140-block of Myrtle Street just after midnight.

Officers responded and found evidence of shots fired. However, no victims have come forward and no property damage has been reported. The incident remains under investigation.
