New Tourism Director Named In New Bedford

A new Tourism and Marketing director has been named for New Bedford  by Mayor Jon Mitchell.  Beth Gissinger Rivera was selected by the Mayor from a large field of candidates. Ms. Gissenger Riveira is a New Bedford native and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commincation Studies from Emerson College and has more than a decade of experience in public relations and marketing. The annual salary for the position is $61 thousand dollars and her appointment must still be approved by the City Council.
