New Polling Locations for Some Voters in New Bedford’s North End
NEW BEDFORD — The Board of Election Commissioners advises residents of Ward 1 Precinct D, and Ward 2 Precincts B and C, that there will be new polling locations beginning with the state primary election on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, and continuing for upcoming elections including the state general election on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.
Ward 1 Precinct D voters will now vote at: Bedford Gardens Care and Rehabilitation Center, located at 4586 Acushnet Avenue.
Ward 2 Precincts B and C voters will now vote at: Alma del Mar Charter School, located at 515 Belleville Avenue (using the rear entrance of the school).
Registered voters from the affected precincts will receive a mailing from the Election Commission informing them of the change. Maps of Ward 1 Precinct D, and Ward 2 Precincts B and C, are attached for reference.
Any resident uncertain about their voting status, their precinct, polling location, or who has changed their address since the last election, should contact the Election Commission office at 508-979-1420.
As usual, on September 4, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and voters may cast their votes for Senator in Congress, Governor and Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Auditor, Representative in Congress, Senator in General Court, Representative in General Court for the Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, Eleventh and Thirteenth Bristol District, District Attorney for Bristol County, Treasurer for Bristol County, County Commissioner for Bristol County and Register of Deeds for Bristol County.
