New England’s Largest Splash Pad Is Less Than Two Hours From the SouthCoast
Who's ready for a road trip? Pack the kids in the car and hit the road, but not for too long because your next family destination is less than two hours from the SouthCoast.
The Dinosaur Place at Nature's Art Village in Montville, Connecticut offers so much more than your average activities for the dino-loving kiddos in your life. Believe it or not, it's actually home to the largest splash pad in all of New England, which includes more than 30 dinosaur-themed water features. Kids (and adults) can experience their favorite dinos in a whole new way while hiding from the park's spitting Stegosaurus, dueling with the T-Rex and Velociprator-head water cannons and cooling off under the dinosaur "rib cage" waterfall. There's even a "flying" Pteranodon that's triggered by ground sensors throughout the splash pad!
But wait, there's more! The Dinosaur Place is so much more than just a really awesome splash pad. From the A"MAZE"asaurus maze that brings new adventures around every turn and the T-Rex Tower with two stories of enclosed fun to Monty's, a "dino-sized" playground," and the park's dinosaur trails and caves with more than 40 life-sized dinos, there's always something new to explore at The Dinosaur Place.
The park is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with most attractions open for those hours as well, except for the splash pad and T-Rex Tower, which open between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. every day. When it comes to admission, though, The Dinosaur Place may be one of the only places you'll ever see kids' admission cost more than adults'. Day passes cost $31.99 for children, $27.99 for adults and toddlers, and $25.99 for seniors. Dino-loving tykes under 2 get in for free.
