NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police have arrested a woman involved in a disturbance outside a city pizza shop, after she allegedly kicked two police officers as they placed her under arrest.

Police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of World Famous Pizza and Subs at 1114 Acushnet Avenue Monday morning at 3:05 a.m. Officers attempted to arrest a woman at the scene, identified as 20-year-old Keila Naomi Montes-Lopez of New Bedford. Police say that she kicked two officers as she was being placed under arrest.

Montes-Lopez has been charged with two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, as well as disorderly conduct.
