NEW BEDFORD — Several charges have been filed against a New Bedford woman after her car was blocking an intersection early Friday  morning.

After failing to move on a green light cycle at Hillman and Purchase Streets, officers approached the vehicle. New Bedford police say that the officers heard arguing between a passenger and the driver. The report says they then suspected the driver was operating under the influence.

While being questioned by the officer, it's reported that Jacqueline Bolduc, 36, of Rodney Street, attempted to drive off. The car moved about 20 feet before stopping on orders from police.

Bolduc was placed under arrest on charges of blocking an intersection, driving under the influence of liquor, and failing to stop for police.
